Service Manager for Production and R&D (f/m)

Outokumpu IT is responsible for delivering IT business application and infrastructure services for Outokumpu. IT co-operates closely with Business Areas and other Group Functions in identifying and delivering solutions that increase Outokumpu’s business performance.

As our Service Manager you will be responsible for operation, support and minor development of Production and R&D IT services for several operations mainly at locations Krefeld, Benrath, Dillenburg and Dahlerbrück. You will ensure that the services are available to Outokumpu users according to agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) levels. You will be responsible for all daily operational service management related activities, like service performance reporting, budgeting (run & minor development), cost follow up, invoice verification, vendor management and contract management and You will work as a single point of contact towards business within your service area. In case of incidents, you will ensure that services are repaired and/or recovered in an agreed timeline. You will participate in group wide IT process and working method improvement as a team member of Outokumpu Group IT. You will work together with Service Management Lead and service managers on other locations to coordinate service development activities.

Main responsibilities:

  • daily service management, operational efficiency and continuous improvement within the service area
  • ensuring service availability to business according to agreed Service Level Agreements
  • leading all operational matters relating to the service area
  • partner and contract management
  • budgeting, cost follow-up and invoice verification
  • active cooperation with other service managers

The key requirements are:

  • 5 years’ experience in Service Management
  • Good understanding of Production and R&D processes
  • IT and ITIL knowledge in theory and practice
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with business
  • Experience of managing suppliers and off shore services in multivendor environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience in working with multinational teams
  • Fluent in English
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in technology or economics.
